SUDBURY'S swimmers made it the most successful ever in the Suffolk county championships for the club In both individual and team events. It meant that competition for the Lucas-CAV trophy for the best individual performance was at its fiercest.  It was dominated by Thomas Williams, 14, who Finished in the top three places in each of the five individual events, to accumulate a massive 31 points and in the top three overall.

 

He is seen receiving the trophy from Bernie Buck the club coach and also Suffolk Chairman.  The runner up was Katie Kenny, aged 10, and Carly Buck was third.
